Our Process

The Cut

Step No. 01

Tell us how you want your hair cut and we’ll take it from there. Snip, snip, clip, clip... “Sir, you are looking studly.”

Hot Towel

Step No. 02

Nothing’s better than a hot towel on your face after a fresh hair cut. Lay back and relax, but please, try not to fall asleep.

Wash

Step No. 03

Nobody likes an itchy neck. We wash you down and scrub your scalp with exfoliating menthol based shampoo.

Massage

Step No. 04

Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, we top off your haircut with a relaxing shoulder massage. You’ll leave one relaxed fellow.

Here's a Little About Us

Shawn Ericsson and his wife Stacia decided to open the first The Man Salon after noticing a common flaw among hair salons in Sioux Falls—that being none of them cater specifically to men.

Unsatisfied by this disservice to the men of Sioux Falls, in April 2008, they set out to change the culture of male grooming.

They opened The Man Salon, a “manly vintage” salon where a guy can go to be pampered without all the frills. No longer would he be a minority at the hair salon or have to settle for a second-rate haircut from a chain store.

The Man Salon offers inclusive haircuts at a reasonable price in a relaxed climate, and we don’t charge an arm and a leg! We take great pride in the value of service you will receive.

Our salons feature large luxurious lounges with leather club chairs, big screen HDTVs, peanuts, beverages and a compilation of nearly every masculine magazine out there. Also, each of our large private suites come complete with a leather barber chair, and LCD TV for your viewing pleasure.

When you leave The Man Salon, we are confident you’ll feel clean, relaxed, and like a man again. You will be so incredibly satisfied by your experience, that you will hardly be able to wait for your next haircut.
